[Me & X] How to decide where to use AI
X : How do people decide where to use AI?
Me : I assume you mean LLMs/GPTs? I have no idea how other people decide to do this.
X : What about yourself?
Me : Guess ... I use a map.
X : Example?
Me : Let me show you on an old map (1st). I use the map to discuss what methods I should use (2nd image). I use the map to help in discussions on what the team structure should be (3rd image). I use the map to help in discussions on what is changing and where we should we invest (4th image). Of course, I use the map to help discuss what value the system has (financial, social and political) and where our values should be applied i.e. I use the map to highlight where we value human decision making in the system (5th image). I even use the maps in sovereignty discussions.
X : Is everything a map to you?
Me : No. The map is just a perspective on the landscape on which discussions take place. Nothing more. And, I have no idea how others do this. Stories probably or playbooks.
X : Do they work?
Me : Each to their own.
